Update Your Existing AMPS 2005 Software (Last Updated November 3, 2008)

AMPS 2005 has been replaced by the next generation of AMPS Computer-scoring Software, Version 9. AMPS Project International recommends that all AMPS raters remain current with their AMPS materials and upgrade to AMPS 9. Review the AMPS Upgrade Policy for more information.

This updated release of AMPS 2005 allows you to change the program's Language Preference; it can be run in seven different languages (English, Swedish, Spanish, Dutch, Danish, Italian, and German). To change the language preference, click PREFERNCES from the main AMPS 2005 menu. Please note that the AMPS Narrative Report is only available in English. All other reports will be printed in your preferred language.

This download will update an existing installation of AMPS 2005.   If you have not yet installed AMPS 2005, do so before installing this update.

Detailed Installation Instructions
  1. Download and save the file, AMPS2005update.exe, to a location on your computer where you can find it later.

  2. Run the update from the computer that already has AMPS 2005 installed. This update will not install the full program.

  3. You will be asked to automatically UNZIP the update.
    This will replace the old version of the file 'AMPS2005.exe', with this new update. The update will be installed into the default AMPS2005 folder. You must install the update into the same folder as the original AMPS 2005 installation.   If you did not use the default installation settings when installing AMPS 2005, please locate your original installation before installing this update.

  4. If the installation is successful, you will receive the following message, 'One file(s) unzipped successfully.'

  5. Close the installation program and run AMPS 2005 as you have done in the past.
