AMPS Software (Version 2005)
The AMPS software converts a person's raw scores for two or more ADL tasks into linear ability measures, while simultaneously
adjusting those ability measures for the challenge of the tasks and the severity of the examiner who scored the person’s performance.
Resulting measures are a quantitative representation of a person’s overall ability to perform ADL tasks, reflecting the person’s degree
of physical effort, efficiency, safety, and independence while doing ADL tasks.
AMPS 2005 is the most powerful AMPS computer-scoring software released to date.
- It includes new reports that assist the therapist with analysis of
a client's ADL ability measures, intervention planning, and interpreting the significance of
a change in ADL ability after test-retest evaluations!
- An individualized report with client-friendly language is available to compare a client's
ADL ability measures with normative data.
- Reports assist with interpretation of ADL ability measures
across age groups, and identify adult clients who likely (with 93% accuracy) require some assistance
to live in the community.
- In addition, a therapist can compare the ADL ability of a pediatric
client with the ADL abilities of same-age, typically developing peers! ADL ability for clients age 3 to 21
is reported in logits, standard scores, and percentile ranks.
- Calibration values for items and tasks have been updated and programming has been upgraded
to be more stable when accessed over networks. AMPS 2005 is compatible with Windows 98, ME, NT, 2000, and XP.
Therapists will find this program very easy to use.
- It is easy to add new clients, add new therapists, and quickly find old clients.
- Therapists can save reports in a 'portable digital format' if desired.
- User-assistance windows are readily accessible when selecting diagnostic categories, functional levels,
and rating the client's quality of occupational performance.
- New tasks have been added to the Assessment of Motor and Process Skills. Therapists are
now able to generate ADL ability measures for clients who engage in these new tasks
(e.g., a new Showering task and a new Dressing task potentially used after the showering task).
- Therapists can import data from an earlier generation of the AMPS computer-scoring software so no records are lost.
Therapists who have a valid AMPS 2002 passcode may upgrade to AMPS 2005 for $85 USD.
By staying current with the latest software, a therapist is able to download free updates of the current version of the AMPS computer-scoring software
and remain eligible for future releases of new versions. Therapists who do not own a valid AMPS 2002 passcode will receive AMPS 2005 by taking an
AMPS training course and completing the rater calibration process.
