Assessment of Motor and Process Skills (AMPS) - About Software

AMPS Software, Version 9

The AMPS software converts a person's raw scores for two or more ADL tasks into linear ability measures, while simultaneously adjusting those ability measures for the challenge of the tasks and the severity of the examiner who scored the person’s performance. Resulting measures are a quantitative representation of a person’s overall ability to perform ADL tasks, reflecting the person’s degree of physical effort, efficiency, safety, and independence while doing ADL tasks. Therapists who do not upgrade to AMPS 9 before release of the next version of the AMPS computer-scoring software risk paying additional fees to upgrade to that new version.
