Assessment of Motor and Process Skills (AMPS) - About Software

AMPS Software (Version 2005)

The AMPS software converts a person's raw scores for two or more ADL tasks into linear ability measures, while simultaneously adjusting those ability measures for the challenge of the tasks and the severity of the examiner who scored the person’s performance. Resulting measures are a quantitative representation of a person’s overall ability to perform ADL tasks, reflecting the person’s degree of physical effort, efficiency, safety, and independence while doing ADL tasks.

Therapists who have a valid AMPS 2002 passcode may upgrade to AMPS 2005 for $85 USD. By staying current with the latest software, a therapist is able to download free updates of the current version of the AMPS computer-scoring software and remain eligible for future releases of new versions. Therapists who do not own a valid AMPS 2002 passcode will receive AMPS 2005 by taking an AMPS training course and completing the rater calibration process.
